What is latheral canthus?

The lateral canthus is the outer corner of the eye where the upper and lower eyelids meet. It is also referred to as the outer canthus. The lateral canthus is an important feature of the eye as it helps to shape and define the overall appearance of the eye. It is also involved in the tear drainage process and helps to regulate the amount of tears produced by the eye. In some cases, the lateral canthus may need to be surgically adjusted in order to correct certain eye conditions, such as ptosis (drooping of the eyelid) or ectropion (turning of the eyelid outward).
